Who We Serve

Does this sound familiar?

  • “We just make too much money. Filling out financial aid forms would be a waste of our time. There’s no way we will qualify. ”
  • “My child has no idea what school to attend. There is too much information.”
  • “I’m so confused about the financial aid and the admissions process. I get different answers from different people.”
  • “I heard there are tax savings for parents with college bound students, but my CPA has not told me about any of them.”
  • “We have so much home equity, there’s no way we’ll receive any financial aid.”
  • “We cannot afford college and save for our retirement. How can we do both?”
  • “I guess we’ll have to settle for a state school even though our child has great grades. There’s just no way we can afford a private university.”
  • “We’ve waited much too long to start saving and planning for college. I guess the kids will just have to settle for junior college for a couple of years.”
  • “I wish we hadn’t invested so heavily in UGMA accounts. I’m hearing that we may not qualify for any financial aid.”
  • “I thought my 529 plan was tax free? I am now hearing that I may be taxed on portions of my withdrawals”
  • “I’m barely getting by as it is. I don’t know where to turn for help.”

Our families have financial and academic profiles that vary tremendously. Some families are affluent and are seeking the most cost-efficient way to pay for college, while others are low to middle income and can’t begin to imagine how they will meet the costs. Some students are stellar in their academic achievement while others are average or below average. There is a school for everyone and a way to pay for it. It is never too early. Proper planning can go a long way. Start now!

APSG College Planning advises our families to begin during the sophomore year. This comes as a big surprise to many parents who believe there is nothing to do. The truth is there is much PLANNING that can and should be under way well before their senior year begins. Academic achievement in high school opens doors to more colleges and paves the way for scholarship and financial aid opportunities.

Don’t fret if your student is already a senior in high school. There is no time like the present. We want to meet with you now and help you in every way.
